Nasal Irrigation. It doesn’t make for great date conversation, but who I am to withhold such helpful info in my blog? (Shameless, I know.)

Check out this NYT article:

Well, OF COURSE it does. If you’ve done it, then you know it is INSTANT temporary relief. I use my NeilMed Sinus Rinse everyday (usually before bed so that I can sleep better). I can’t imagine that anyone who suffers from allergies, congestion, etc. wouldn’t use a nasal irrigation system. I prefer this system so that I don’t have to tilt my head and play with gravity:

This version just shoots the water into your sinuses (based on the pressure you use to squeeze the bottle). I should be their spokesperson, don’t you think?

OK class. Read. Discuss…

Dear readers,

Thanks for your hair color votes! Final results: I got a much-needed cut and combined every color: red, brown, blonde, and a cool purpley red on the bottom.

Forgive the fact that these photos were taken at 3:00 a.m. on Saturday/Sunday with no flash. I’ll try to get a better shot in the sunlight (which we’ve had no shortage of lately!).

In last week’s TV Guide’s Sexiest Stars edition, Kate Walsh was asked, “you’ve been a blonde, a brunette and a redhead. Which one wins?” Her Answer: “Red – it’s fun..Being a redhead is like being a little kitty who likes to scratch.” I thought that was pretty funny. Mad Men’s Christina Hendricks also made TV Guide’s “Sexiest” cut – in fact – she’s the centerfold! Let’s hear it for red heads with smokin curves!

I’ve really enjoyed being a redhead for 8 months. But it’s time to get my hair refreshed (on Saturday), and I’m thinking of changing it up a little. I have an idea, but I’d like your opinion. If you had to pick one hair color (or combo of colors) that you think looked best on me, what would it be? Here’s a visual of the options:

If you’ve bought cosmetics from…

  • Bergdorf Goodman, Bergner’s, Bloomingdale’s, Boston Store, Carson Pirie Scott, Dillard’s, Gottschalks, Herberger’s, Macy’s, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Parisian, Saks Fifth Avenue, or Younkers

…between 1994-2003, you are eligible to receive a free cosmetic item (listed here) as part of a a legal settlement. You don’t even need your receipt. All you do is sign a paper saying you did, in fact, purchase an eligible product during that time.

I buy my Clinique proucts from Macy’s so I definitely want to take advantage of this! Now when will I find time to get to a mall…
